When I moved here my butler Michael, who is a Yankee, could not get over how everybody said "Good morning" and "How are you? Do you think that thank you notes should still be handwritten? It used to be the normal course of events, you would write a note the very next day after somebody had entertained you for dinner.
“No, I didn’t go out with her,” Rose told Page Six on Monday. You both have to like each other [on the app] and then you can start talking.” Rose also disclosed suitors looking to land bachelorettes have to impress with their opening line.
“Apparently you have to be crazy in the first message, you can’t be like, ‘Hey, how are you,’ that’s a no-no from what I understand. “I’m trying to live in the moment, but everybody gets anxiety about the future.” “Southern Charm” airs Mondays at 9 p.m.

I had a Smithfield ham station with biscuits but my basset hound managed to get the ham off of the kitchen counter and took it upstairs and ate it on the bed in the guest room!
Do you think etiquette is different in the South versus in the North? I lived in New York for many years after having been brought up in the South and I remember going to my first big dinner party in New York and I was just appalled because the first topic of conversation was how much the X's had paid for their apartment and then they got into stocks and trading and it was really a conversation about money for most of the dinner. You would never ask what somebody paid for something. But there is a graciousness, a warmth, and a sense of hospitality that you find in the South. In New York, we always entertained in restaurants or we bought a table for something. It can be very fancy or it can be very casual, but we do entertain in our homes much more frequently. It's hard to say, but because I'm basically lazy I love my bedroom and my bathroom. I have a Jacuzzi tub and I have my big screen television and a fireplace, and the toilet is enclosed in a cabinet so you don't see it.
